The 6 week course has finished! I can’t believe how quick it’s gone but I’m so proud of what I’ve (we’ve) achieved. There were times I didn’t want to make the session and times I wanted to give up throughout one and I felt every bit of ache you can imagine – but somehow I kept going and I did it! I’m so proud of everyone and how far we’ve come – I couldn’t have asked for a better 9 training buddies to do this journey with. I cannot thank Ray Pharoah enough for such an amazing opportunity to train with him at the box and Paul Kimber / Mathew Worrall you all have been amazing! I can say I’ve trained with the best!! Now to look forward and keep going and aim for the next 6 week!!
Halfway Update:
Weight Loss = 7lbs; Inches Lost = 3.5″ waist, 0.5″ Hips, 0.5″ Arms, 0.25″ Legs
So we’re at the half-way mark and I can honestly say I am addicted! Every session gets harder and harder but each time I feel that buzz just that bit more! I feel I am getting stronger both mentally and physically and I can honestly say I feel the best I’ve felt in a long time.
The main thing I’ve learnt from this is that the number on the scales really don’t count for everything. I used to be obsessed with weighing myself everyday.. sometimes twice! It became a bad habit, if I had lost weight my instant reaction would be “I can have a treat now”. Equally if I had seen something I wasn’t happy with I would feel so down and upset – I would replace that comfort with food! A vicious cycle I am so pleased to say I’m no longer part of. Southern legion has taught me that being fit and healthy is so much more important than how much that scale moves up and down.
I’ve enjoyed every session training with the team, they have been a great support and the atmosphere and guidance from all the coaches has been amazing. I always look forward to the next session and I never thought I would ever say that!
The results are great so far.. I can’t wait to see the end result in 3 weeks!
My Reason for Joining the Programme:
My primary goal is self-confidence. I’ve always been a typical “yo-yo” dieter and have spent many years unhappy with my appearance and have struggled greatly.
The fitness and gym classes I’ve attended have always been something I’ve done alone. Last year my main motivation was my Wedding – no one wants to be a fat bride!! The dedication and motivation kicked in immediately and I went from a size 18/20 to a size 8/10. But over the last 8 months the weight has crept back on and I’m now a size 14. I want my confidence back! I’m finally ready to get back on it and feel even better than I did before.
